Here’s some photos of my family.
Madison (my first-born) is five years old. She’ll (gulp) start Kindergarten next school year. She talks about school every day. She’s also a genius. But is very humble about it. She loves listening to classical music and dancing like Elaine from Seinfeld. She is the best big sister ever and can make her brother laugh hysterically any time she wants. She believes herself to be a princess (in large part because her father tells her so just about every day). She changes her clothes at least 3 times each morning, usually combining patterns, colors and styles with reckless abandon. Recently she informed me that she’s going to be a fashion designer when she grows up, which doesn’t seem that far fetched to me at all. Reading continues to be her favorite activity on the planet. Which I love. She’s started reading and spelling words herself lately which I love even more. Hearing her make those connections is just priceless.
Donovan (my little man) is three. How fast the time flies. I think we are finally over the terrible twos. Thank you LORD! I don’t know another person with a better smile than my son. His eyes light up a room and he has an incredibly infectious laugh. He is a carb-aholic. Which I’m sure he gets from me. Poor kid. He loves playing with trains and trucks. He’s fascinated with all things mechanical. He also quite frequently pretends to be a dog. Including licking my hand when I’m sitting on the couch. Gross. He loves his sister more than anything on the planet. He cannot wait to go to school like she does. He’s a total boy too. Always finding the path of most resistance anywhere.
My husband is the love of my life. We celebrated our 10th anniversary last year. We also renewed our vows on a beach in Hawaii on our first real vacation together since we’ve been married. It was amazing. He’s the best father I’ve ever seen – absolutely loves playing with our kids. He makes me laugh. I consider him to be the funniest person I know. No contest. His singular fault is that he does not like baked goods/sweets. I think someone pulled out his sweet tooth as a child. It’s a huge accomplishment for me when I bake something that he eats and enjoys. It’s cause for a national holiday when he asks for another one.

Hi. You have a sweet family. Take care of the little ones…they are precious to God. I have a four year old of my own. Peace and blessings to you and your family.
Gladwell
What a wonderful website you have. I can not believe with all of these wonderful dishes and deserts that your hubby stays as skinny as he does. I also do not understand that your yummy truffels or snickerdoodles are not in any of the pictures.
Hugs to you all and look forward to having some more of your wonderful cooking soon.
Are you talking about the oreo truffles? Or the cake bite truffles? Or the peanut butter ones. Sheesh! I have a lot of truffles that I make huh? I have photos of the snickerdoodles on the blog site, just not on the Flikr photos (that run on the right side). I need to update the Flikr account with my latest stuff.
Thanks for the sweet words – I don’t know how Zack stays that skinny either. Love you. At the latest you’ll get some more on Halloween when you guys come over for the grandkids trick-or-treating.
I wish you good luck with your familiy. I like your website either and I think, I’ll start baking myself again. (I liked it some time ago, but I’m pretty busy now.)I also like the pictures you took from your cakes and bakery – they look yummy!
Baking is totally my outlet for relaxing. Glad you enjoyed the photos.
