Breakfast: Decided this morning to do the whole soup thing, but didn’t have the ingredients on hand. Ate a mondo bowl of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries for breakfast and then headed out for soup ingredients.
Lunch: So, the soup is made and I had my first bowl…two bowls actually, for lunch. Not bad. Not bad at all. I ended up adding a few red pepper flakes to give it a little zing action and I gotta say, the soup was pretty good. I’m sure I will not feel that way by the end of the week, but for today’s lunch – I willingly went back for another bowl. I also had a fresh delicious honeycrisp apple with lunch, a multivitamin and about 40 ounces of water.
Snack: An orange and a whole lotta water
Dinner: Giant bowl of soup – still good – and a big bowl of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. It was a little rough preparing steak nachos for my honey…even harder once I started smelling the cheese melting on top of the sizzling steak.
The true test today will be my small group meeting. I know there’s going to be delicious snacks. And I’m totally a social eater. The bigger test will be tomorrow – when I’ll be making a birthday cake for my daughter, using up some leftover pumpkin with a savory soup and some pumpkin gingerbread, and making (by request) blueberry pancakes for dinner. So far though, I’m feeling good about this whole soup diet thing.
