My name is Tonya. I’m a stay-at-home-mom with two beautiful children. I have green eyes and freckles. I love to bake. I love to read. I love taking photos of my kids. I’m very opinionated. I’m not a dog person. I hate feet.
My extended family is just that…extended. There are TONS of us. The below picture isn’t even all my siblings/families…and the family gets bigger from there. We’re loud. Really loud. Actually, I think my volume gauge is completely out of whack from growing up as a member of my family. I love them.
Zack is my husband. He was born without a sweet tooth. You can probably imagine how I feel about this obvious deficiency. Aside from this horrible fact, he is perfect for me. He says I move 20% too fast. Or at least, 20% faster than everyone else. He also claims I think that much faster. I’m a logistical genius. Which comes in very handy when trying to organize/plan events with such a large family. Nothing I do is ever small.
I grew up in the same house, with the same friends, attending the same church for 15 years. My parents are as madly in love with each other now as they were when they met in high-school. I have always known (as do they) that they aren’t perfect, but they are just about as perfect as parents ever could be. I realize that now (more than ever) that I have kids of my own.
I love life. I love that every day is a new opportunity to learn something, add joy to someone else’s life, be yourself and live to your fullest capacity.
Since you like baking and cooking you might like this book:

I love your blog! Found it when my niece tagged one of your recipes on Pinterest (I love lemon too and baking bread!). I just started blogging and have lots to learn. You give me inspiration! Thank you!
Awwww! Thank you so much! Love your niece for helping you find me!
Love this description of yourself & your life! 🙂
What a lovely ‘about’ page! And I can totally relate to your hubby having no sweet tooth… neither does mine 🙂
Isn’t it irritating?
Hahaha yes! But when I told my man about your blog to prove that there are other guys like him out there, he was very amused 🙂
I dont know you ,but i really like you and your spunk!!!
Hey. I stumbled across your blog at the weekend when I was looking for chicken recipes. I made your Monterey chicken – or my own version of it – and wanted to thankyou! it was delicious! I’ve just blogged about it. I hope I did it justice. I think I did 🙂
You have a lot of interesting stuff on your blog, however, the ads on EVERY picture is annoying. So I’ll stick to the blogs that keep their advertising off to the sides.
You have the coolest about page!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Sonya. 🙂
Love your recipes. I have a child with a shellfish allergy too. Can’t wait to try your zucchini “crab” cakes.
Lovely blog, your recipes are fantastic! I was just making meringues and googled how long to leave them in the oven for and came across your blog 😊
Thanks!
